I was born in Portugal in 1963. I am a child of Fascism and a daughter of the Revolution.

I have an insatiable desire to feel, create and share Beauty. That is my sustenance.
 

The medieval city of Coimbra, where the oldest University in Europe is located, witnessed my birth and raised me until I was in my mid twenties.
I studied ceramics in the eclectic city of Porto for 3 years at the School of Decorative Arts.
 

Born Maria da Piedade, which translates into Mary of Mercy, I sailed the seven seas and moved to America where I have been crafting a variety of artistic offerings.

These offerings were created with the intention to catapult people to live more authentic and graceful lives.

 

I have become an Advanced Yoga & Meditation Teacher and was accepted as an exception (since I have no college degree) to teach Yoga & Meditation at Yavapai Community College.

I started with 1 class and 5 students and built the program to 8 classes and over 200 students a week over an 11-year period.

The College trusted and gave me total freedom to develop the Yoga Program as I wished.

 

The One Credit Class allowed me to create Assignments and integrate my passion for Art and Beauty.
The "Yoga Creative Projects" were born. 

My forthcoming book, "Sermons on the Mat”, is the result of one of these amazing projects created by a student who transcribed my words in a journal during the class as she practiced.

 

I weave Sound and Art in my Yoga classes. The amazing artwork created by my students will be displayed in the gallery at our academy in Taos, NM to inspire others to express themselves creatively.

 

To further assist my students I began studying Soul Coaching® in 2010 with internationally known Denise Linn, teacher, healer, and founder of the Soul Coaching® International Institute.

I have attained the highest level of Soul Coaching ® and I am one of a handfull of Soul Coaching® Advanced Trainers worldwide.

 

I am an Acoustic Sound Therapy Practitioner and have been mentored by my husband Rian since 1995.

I am an international speaker and author of 3 international best-selling collaborative books published during the pandemic and meant to inspire and support people during these challenging times.

 

I am a teacher of inter-connectedness, providing others with missing pieces (energetic or physical) to propel them forward.

My focus is bringing very different, yet integrated systems together to create harmony, balance and deep transformation.
